In the Pacific Northwest, I have a few of those California lilacs, but they 
sure attract the bees. 

I have lawn problems from moss from the wet winters to the necessity to water 
in the summer when there is no rain. 

I am just glad that snow isn't a big problem like it was in the upper Midwest 
before I retired.
