Bush really hit the jackpot with 9/11, which turned a faltering
administration into a powerhouse pushing through most of what is
criticized (when it's not done by a Democrat) and did so with consistent
support from Democrats. Meanwhile, the reflexive retort remains
Bush/Republicans are so bad, even as mounting evidence of the more
effective evil is ignored.
