I'm fascinated by the film at Retroreport.org (or maybe it is Retroreports.org?) about the revelation of the people who burgled the FBI office in Media PA and put a large hole in the reputation of the FBI and H. Edgar Hoover.
You might have to be old enough to remember those days to be as fascinated as I am. It brought back memories of the 60s and 70s. In additon to the film cited above, Democracy Now did a long segment today, including parts of the film, interviewing some of the group that did the break-in. They have agreed to be named, although one of the group declined that honor. And one has passed away. One recipient of the purloined files -- the only one who immediately, in the Wash Post, published a story -- has written a book, just released. The files were mailed to others but for reasons described on the Democracy Now story, failed to get to the public, at least till after the Washington Post broke the story. maybe the streets will fill again someday soon.
