One would think that global corporations would have the power to steer
political developments to serve their interests. However, what seems to be
happening is that globalization is stalled and in some respects even receding
at sanctions and trade wars are developing between Russia the EU and US.
Instead of globalization it appears that there will be competing blocs based in
US free trade with the EU and US free trade with a group of Pacific countries
that excludes China.
Surely this is not a situation that Global Capital as a whole would wish.
