As the article itself admits, the demography of Black Friday shoppers is unclear. In any case, shopping-mania more generally is provably not a phenomenon limited to the underclasses - it is not poor, black people waiting in line for the new iphones and iwatches after all. Nevertheless, there definitely seems to be a racial bias in the selection of brawl videos that media outlets like to feature.
