A series of dramatic events over recent years have evoked the hope, perhaps
the possibility, of a new coherent left emerging: the 2003 anti-war demo,
the London riots, Wisconsin, OWS, and (now) Black Lives Matter. Other
events, such as the election of Obama, the Great Recession, the attempt to
recall Walker in Wisconsin have been discouraging. (Also discouraging is the
habit of so many leftists or would-be leftists in whining about how terrible
capitalists are. Do tell. See Lenin on factory exposures.)

We need to focus on tactics by which unorganized leftists can become
organized and recruit organizers.
