1. Vote tallies reveal changes that counts of parliamentary seats hide. The latter give rise to false drama. For example, the New Democracy party lost 2% of the electorate, much smaller than its collapse in parliament. 2. Most of Syriza's big gain appears to have come from the collapse of the previous social-democratic party, PASOK, from 12% to less than 5%. 3.
