Cowen uses highfallutin prose so it is hard to pin him down on anything, but the ideas he promotes are truly vile and disgusting. Start with the rather explicit racism. He is a fan of Charles Murray and the Bell Curve. On eugenics, he thinks that "ultimately the Nazi connection will be seen as a bump in the road". Yes, he really said that. See for yourself: http://marginalrevolution.com/marginalrevolution/2013/10/further-small-steps-toward-designer-babies.html It is hard to tell if if he really believes this stuff or if he is just trolling as part of his job as a fellator of rich men. Either way, who cares what he has to say? -raghu.
