I suspect that if the Palestinians all left Israel today, the Israelis would
start battling each other, doing irreparable harm to the nation.

Subject: [Pen-l] Fateh Azzam: A Bold Proposal: Palestine Should Give Its
Refugees Citizenship

I love this proposal. I would love to figure out how I could help agitate
around it.

http://al-shabaka.org/briefs/refugees-citizenship/?post_id=10153761954957656_10153761954952656#_=_

A basic problem - obviously - of Palestinian politics around the two-state
solution is this: if you live in Ramallah, Birzeit, or Hebron (3 places where I
have lived) the benefits to you of a two-state solution are immediately
obvious: get the Israeli army the hell away from here. If you are a Palestinian
refugee outside of historical Palestine, the benefits to you of a two-state
solution are not so obvious.

So: let's act to make the benefits of a two-state solution for Palestinian
refugees elsewhere more obvious.
