The frackers in northern Alberta did their part in creating hot and dry
conditions that caused 35 fires covering 80,000 acres, which will contribute to
the carbon footprint of fracking. Despite 1400 firefighters, only five of the
fires had been contained according to a 2 June Wall Street Journal report.
Symbolic of the destruction of the supposedly technological breakthrough, this
distraction is taking place on Canada's only strategic bombing site.
