I think both things are probably true. Her complaints in the last debate about how single-payer was a budget buster sounded like something out of Paul Ryan's textbook. It was like she was already tacking right for the general election. But as her poll numbers have been dropping, she's been panicking, and saying some stupid shit. Her (and Chelsea's) lying attack on single-payer the other day resulted in a quadrupling of Sanders' daily contributions.
