====== True (as is the rest of your post). But to follow your argument, one does need to recognize that capitalism is not merely feudalism with a lot of machines. And in the present instance it is also, unfortunately, necessary to recognize that piling up facts does not constitute an explanation of those facts. This too does not require a PH.D. but it does require learning that one's juvenile hunches may be wrong. Carrol P.S.
