No. Most of my relatives (on McConnell's side) came over
from Ireland during the potato famine (and developed into pretty safe "lace
curtain" Irish, i.e., WASPs). BTW, McConnell's stepfather (my aunt's husband)
was Sterling Hayden.
I have lots of cousins since my grandparents on that
side were Catholic back when that had a demographic impact.
