--- Speaking of which, I think I'm going to make a point of visiting Kazakhstan some time soon (even though it's so far away). It seems to be doing really well, as you can see reflected in the fact that there are lots of migrant workers in Russia from the other 'stans, but no Kazakhs. It's right by China after all. And the country is beautiful, judging by the photos. Uzbekistan is also a must-go -- I've gotta see Samarkand.
