RELEASED FROM PRISON, NOAM BAHAT AND SHIMRI ZAMERET TOUR THE U.S.!
We are excited to announce the upcoming tour of Noam Bahat and Shimri Zameret, two young Refusers who were recently released after two years in Israeli prison. The tour began this week and is co-sponsored nationally by RSN and American Friends Service Committee. Noam and Shimri will be touring the United States from October 23rd to November 24th, 2004. We hope that you will attend their events and support their work by circulating this tour information to people in your communities.
Noam Bahat and Shimri Zameret, free after 645 days of imprisonment, are touring the the United States to speak about the occupation of Palestine and their refusal to serve in the Israeli Military. Noam and Shimri were part of a group known as the Convicted 5, who refused to enlist in the Israeli Defense Forces after graduating from high school. The tour includes speaking events in the coming weeks in Philadelphia, College Park Maryland, as well as across New England and the Midwest and the West Coast.
