Ford had a car called the Edsel and its bonds were just downgraded.

(The now-defunct American Motors Corporation once had a car called the
Matador, I believe.)

AMC also had a car called the Gremlin, named after an imaginary gnomelike
creature that causes mechanical problems. (I actually had a Gremlin and
thought it was a pretty good car; I was in the distinct minority though.)
Considering AMC's felicitous way with model names, it's not surprising
the
company is now defunct.
