The local Peet's fired and laidoff most of the store's employees to destroy a union signature drive (SEIU). They even cut the evening hours of the store back untill they fully restaffed. This happened about a month or so after Peets went public. Nice guys... Fortunately, there are enough local coffee shops where the owner doesn't make 100 times the barista's pay. Leigh
