Dear Senator Specter,
The way I see it, legislators are either for the American people or
they are against them. Legislators who do not respond appropriately
to the malfeasance, negligence and criminality of the present
President and his handlers are against the American people.
I urge you to tell the nation that you will not open hearings on
President George Bush’s nominees to the Supreme Court until after the
House of Representatives has considered impeaching him for betraying
the people of the United States on behalf of his corporate sponsors.
History already has placed a mark on you for your shoddy performance
on the Warren Commission. The failure of that body to follow the
simple tenets of logic and the trail and custody of evidence left
this nation with more than 40 years of disbelief that government can
do any good when the going gets rough and sensitive.
Step up to the altar of democracy and speak the truth. No President
as obviously criminal and purposefully negligent as this one should
be allowed to name the nation’s judges, judges who will, in time,
have to rule on his demonic actions. If you conduct hearings on
George Bush’s nominations, you have sided against the vision of this
nation and its people. This is not an issue of political parties.
It’s an issue of national survival.
Do something right. Refuse to consider unless the President is proven
sane and innocent.
