I do not want to hurt your feelings Carroll but the above is a typical example of what some call "Marxist determinism", or "determinism of the Marxists", if you like. Look at the history of revolutions: from Moses to Jesus to France to Russia, none of the revolutions are the outcome of an organized and self-conscious opposition. Am I wrong? Power does not like vacuum. And when there is revolt, there is power vacuum. And that vacuum gets filled by someone or some group, sooner or later. Who or what group fills that vacuum is partly stochastic, partly deterministic, if you like. It is better to be prepared, since it is better to be safe than sorry, I say! Sabri
