What absolute gall and contempt toward the rest of the world does
Edwards have to call on other countries to be responsible for clearing
up the carnage and mess in Iraq, the very countries (including Canada,
France, Germany), that opposed Bush's illegal and immoral war and
American unilateralism and were pilloried by Bush and his henchmen
including the US Congress and Senate (remember the adolescent renaming
of 'Freedom Fries' (sic)) for doing so. Now these very countries are
being told that they are responsible for cleaning up the mess caused by
America's unilateral imperialism. Is it any wonder that the US is hated
by so many in the world, particularly increasingly in Europe and, what
is becoming more and more apparent, in Canada.

I was wrong.

<snip>

    A plan for success needs to focus on three interlocking objectives:
reducing

the American presence, building Iraq's capacity and getting other
countries
to meet their responsibilities to help. GETTING OTHER COUNTRIES TO MEET

    THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES TO HELP!!!!

   <snip>

Third, we must launch a serious diplomatic process that brings the world
into this effort. We should bring Iraq's neighbors and our key European
allies into a diplomatic process to get Iraq on its feet. The president
needs to create a unified international front. WE SHOULD BRING IRAQ'S

   NEIGHBORS AND OUR KEY EUROPEAN ALLIES INTO A DIPLOMATIC
   PROCESS TO GET IRAQU ON ITS FEET. THE PRESIDENT NEEDS TO
   CREATE A UNIFIED INTERNATIONAL FRONT !!!!
