My situation was not unique. Such formatting causes problems for a number of
people.
Some of you are signed up through e-mail accounts that make plain text
difficult. A few
people found that they could solve that problem by using a gmail account.
Also, and I admit to forgetting occasionally... When cutting and pasting
from
many html web pages, the carriage returns and/or line feeds are
non-existent, which
means that anyone trying to read a post at pen-l's archive has one LONG
line to
read, even if it looks good on an email post. Drawing the paragraphs
back into one long
line and re-formatting in the email resolves the issue (and perhaps
shows that the person
doing the C&P has an active interest in the posting at hand =;'> )
