Last updated: 17:43 - April 11, 2006 Rubber exports up 86% http://www.nhandan.com.vn/english/business/110406/business_rubber.htm Domestic enterprises have exported 152,000 tonnes of rubber so far this year, earning US $237 million, an year-on-year increase of 39% in quantity and 86% in export turnover, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. High and stable rubber prices have attributed to the sharp increase in export turnover. Since early this year, Vietnam's rubber is sold at an average price of US $1,526 a tonne, up 33% against the same period last year. China is Vietnam's key rubber export market. In addition, the US, France, Japan, and the Republic of Korea's demand for rubber from Vietnam has also been increasing.
