If we analyse the use of oil as an 'addiction' (I do) , then the "War On
Drugs [tm]" has conclusively shown that the users will keep using,
despite the price... There may be a temporary fluctiation as the
"Market" adjusts, but eventually, the user keeps using as much as they
"need". Other, cheaper drugs (Point 5) come along to take the original
drug's place if neccesary, and the replacement is often just as bad...
sometimes worse.
