Brown, it is understandable how you would make an amalgam between a
researcher falsifying data in order to get millions of dollars in grant
money with a failure to adequately document that the army handed out
smallpox blankets. Fortunately, for those of us who are still in touch with
reality, we understand that the first offense involves fraud--a
crime--while the latter does not. Good luck in your harpooning expeditions.

Former Professor Draws One-Year Jail Term for Falsifying Data on Federal
Grant Applications

A former medical professor at the University of Vermont was sentenced on
Wednesday to a year and a day in prison for fabricating research data on
federal grant applications.
