CB: Good point. I agree. "Conspiracy" implies secrecy.

 The more open, the more "in your face" it is done, the closer to "open
terrorist rule". It is more worrisome when they don't think they have to
hide it, but can do it in the "open".

 And it wasn't
just the right-wing coalition pushing their agenda that caused it to happen.
It was also the absence of serious opposition from the "loyal opposition."
(E.g., letting McCain _et al_ create a "compromise," which was quickly
jettisoned, without any serious DP input.)

CB: McCain seems rightwing to me. Also, Democrats , like Stanbenaw, voted
for it ( I believe).

The more bipartisan the support for dictatorial law, the more worrisome the
circumstance. If it was just one party, we would be able to fight it better.


The danger is even greater than this article implies.
