Hey, that's my uncle- and aunt-in-law, Christopher Jencks and Jane Mansbridge. They have a Volvo (which, when I last saw it, still bore its Kerry sticker) - and even better, they teach at Harvard and live in Cambridge! I don't know what they think of Iran, but Jencks thinks welfare reform has been a success, contrary to his expectations. Still, I'm sure they'd self-identify as liberals, not "Western leftists."
