My sole concern here was your apparent willingness to cite a smelly
source and when queried about that to attack. Not being someone who
follows Iran in any way, I was very surprised to read about the IPC.
I presume you knew all along that the source stinks.

It is not common knowledge among leftists -- let alone the American
public -- that Iran Focus* is a pro-MEK Web site or what MEK stands
for or how MEK is regarded by most Iranians in Iran and diaspora alike
(if there is one thing that Iranians of almost all political
persuasions perhaps except those who are bent on regime change at any
cost -- Iranian officials, resident Iranians of all classes,
non-resident Iranians of all classes** -- have in common is hatred of
MEK). So, I assume Doug, as well as the Feminist Majority Foundation,
was ignorant about the source.

Really, almost nothing important about Iran (even elementary facts
about it) and politics in or about it (like which sources are smelly
and should not be trusted or given credibility by a major US feminist
non-profit) are common knowledge among leftists, much less the general
public. That ignorance is a big problem.

* Unfortunately, Google News picks up Iran Focus.

** Ordinary Iranians in diaspora think about MEK like this: Nema Milaninia,
