Doyle; I think a shift to the left in South America is important in this scenario. I expect we'll see some sort of rapidly unfolding financial crisis in the next year or so, simply because the odds favor that. So the positives from those pressures ought to fragment the U.S. neo-liberal consensus further. I don't see Asia being the center of financial issues, but U.S. efforts to ease the situation it faces which to me means abandonment of neo-liberalism must mean a big debate here over the change in course. The left has some ideas to contribute to a big debate to which we ought to point once again to gaining mass support. I think organizing a mass movement once again seems possible and likely for the left. The model being Argentina and how the neo-liberal policies yielded to a national soul searching. Doyle
