Which is why the US wants permanent bases in the ME. They could live
with a set up like in S.A. so long as the government(s) in Iraq were
aligned with the US--holding dollars, selling oil the multilateral
way, allowing American interests to make profits , etc.

As I said before, there is hardly anything new in the ISG info. here
that wasn't already put forward before by the occupation. It is an
issue that was discussed by the new rulers of Iraq, for sure (that is,
keep it nationalized, or privatize, and
if so, to what extent, and if so, who is going to pay for all the
repairs necessary, etc.)
