I'm sure this is one of those topics where we have to step lightly and
there is probably no room to wiggle much.

However, there are some points to be made:

If people are supposed to remember the Holocaust (let us hope they
are), then they should also remember the Holocaust against all the
groups that were the victims.

If people are supposed to remember the Holocaust, let us hope that it
is rather questionable putting a country based on lies in charge of
remembering it.

If the people of Israel want the world to remember the Holocaust, then
perhaps they themselves might start remembering Palestine.

Finally for my ballet here, if you want to relativize history, then
you do not get to select what portion of it you want to relativize.
Even Holocaust history has to be under re-examination and
revision--just like the French Revolution, the Russian Revolution,
Stalinism, Mao's Cultural Revolution, the US's war against Vietnam,
and now the US's war against Iraq. That is if you believe we can get
closer and closer to the truth.
