can anyone think of a good term to describe the "post Keynesian" school of Macroeconomics? I wouldn't call it left-Keynesian...
You have me stymied since I would have reached for "left-Keynesian". To be precise, in the case of American Post Keynesian (Davidson, etc), I would have said "center-left Keynesian" so as to reserve "left-Keynesian" for the Cambridge UK school of macroeconomics (Kaldor, etc). Is there are reason you don't want to use the term "left-Keynesian"? Are you looking for a term to link PK to a larger political tradition - such as "left-liberal macro"? Along those lines I think of today's Cambridge people (Harcourt, Arestis, etc) as pretty much "Social Democrats" in (the European, Continental sense) because of their willingness to entertain micro/sectoral/planning policies -- but more and more I see them aligning with the US post-Keynesians, especially with today's emphasis on monetary macro.
