Michael, If a thread or topic is not off the wall, I don't see a problem with it. In most cases, I'd expect civilized people to discuss a broad range of issues without getting at each other's throats. I guess, a "bad" thread can amplify the damage done by particular individuals. But why not focus on penalizing the perpetrators instead? People are (mostly) bored, insulted, encouraged to unsubscribe, etc. by other people, not by threads. Just a thought. Julio
