Response:

Those are some good points. Malcolm X remember, had been abroad extensively
and had ties with Third World movements and governments that had a lot more
intel on the U.S. and Kennedy than the average American.

When Malcom X made the "Roosting Chickens" argument (and of course I meant
no comparison between Ward Churchill and Malcolm X other than they both
used the Roosting Chickens concept as a short-hand metaphor for Karma time
and a larger reality) Ngo Dien Diem, whose brtual regime had been fully
designed and set up by the Kennedys and others via Michigan State
University, was overthrown with prior knowledge by Kennedy and along with
his brother Nhu assassinated on November 1, 1963, three weeks before
Kennedy's assassination, and further, the liklihood of involvement of
Chicago/Louisana/Miami Mafia (that Kennedy's had ties with) connections and
right-wing Cubans, along with rogue elements of CIA and FBI was well known
and widely believed at the time of Malcolm X's statement. Malcolm X's
statement was even more direct and personal than Ward Churchill's
statement.

But in any case, the other concept, that free speech and freedom of relgion
and other freedsoms include not only the right lawfully think, speak and
worship freely without prior restraint or retribution, but these rights
also mean the right to mourn and grieve or not to mourn and grieve as one
chooses and for whom one chooses to grieve and mourn or not to grieve and
mourn. Why has this dispute never been framed this way?

CB; My reason for thinking that the CIA/FBI/US Spook element involved in the
Kennedy assasination were not rogue is that the non-rogue elements, like the
non-rogue Secret Service, covered it up for them. The Warren Commission
covered up for them. Why not just bust them, and all the Mafias and Cubans ?
You are just going to allow rogue elements of your agency assasinate the
president ? I don't think so. The main elements of the agencies, Hoover,
etc. had to have been complicit, part of the conspiracy, for there to have
been no prosecution of the "rogue" elements. How could you assassinate the
president without J. Edgar Hoover's permission or knowledge ?
