The Venezuelan-proposed "Social Charter" includes this:
1. The right to life is inalienable...
3. ...Life is a collective asset and no one may patent the
human genome or use it for discriminatory purposes, nor may human
beings be used for biological experimentation or *scientific
practices allowed that lead to the destruction of life or the
deformation of its components.* (ital. added)
Given the facts that this "Charter" nowhere recognizes the right to
reproductive choice, that Bolivarian Venezuela continues to
outlaw abortion, and that "life" is not here recognized as starting at
birth, the condemnation of "scientific practices allowed that lead
to the destruction of life" can only be read as acceptance of the
most
obscurantist doctrines of Protestant and Catholic christian assholes.
This reactionary ideological posture is poison to any revolutionary
movement, including the Bolivarian.
