we should be careful with such analogies. It wasn't a matter of Munich and appeasement as much as the fact that a big chunk of the Brit ruling class favored Hitler or thought that Hitler & Stalin should duke it out (while the UK watched). also, Munich gave the UK a change to build up its arms before it had to face Hitler.
