Check out http://hostap.epitest.fi/ it is a driver for linux that turns 
your system into an access point. Assuming you have a laptop and a 
wireless card, you can become an access point, and do other fun things, 
such as spoofing beacons to hide your real beacon, and so on. Happy drivin!
