I have tried setting up RED HAT LINUX 5.2 to a Pentium 133 with 32MB RAM and 2GB hard
Disk PC using a zero floppy installation (boot from hard disk) . I always get this
message; " RPM install of timezone info failed: unpacking of archive failed or file
(null): 3: Bad file descriptor ". It appears frequently with the 'timezone info'
changing to other things, and my linux will fail to start.
My questions are
1) What is the message for?Why can't I setup LINUX ?
2)After doing 'fdisk' using MSDOS 6.22 and MSDOS5.0 , I still get the "LILO Boot"
everytime I startup my PC and the linux end with messages :-
Unable to load NLS charset cp437(nls_cp437)
VFS: Mounted root (msdos filesystem) readonly.
Unable to open an initial console.
Please help me on how to erase/delete this and continue to re-install my WIN95. Thanks
.
