Don't worry, this article still about Linux and Open source, not political. So replace some of the keyword here and there, this is what you get. Yes, I just use search and replace ALL to replace the keyword. If any of you want to known the origin, phews, than you have to replace those "reverse keyword" yourself. Oh, if you don't like the word "monopoly", change it to Microsoft. Stuff in the parentheses "()" is my comment when the whole things change to Open source vs Monopoly. Replaced Keyword Computing industry - country monopoly - BXXXXXX + (Malaysia most popular Rice cooker brand) Open source - A.k.a. alternative computer user - people Although the article is good, but it is not too straight forward, compare to "Catheral and Bazaar". article start here. ----------------------------------- 1. The true conditions in the computing industry as the consequence of abuses of power and mismanagement by leaders of the Monopoly, as well as the effects of the implementation and enforcement of the Monopoly economic policies and mistakes made owing to its efforts to Open Sourceil out, in fact strengthen, the interests of cronies of the Monopoly leaders. 2. The main outline or strategy framework of the Open Sourcer alternative Budget which is from that of the Open Source in many ways. The first difference arises from the different interests being championed; the Monopoly champions the interests of a few cronies and their leaders, while the Open Source fights for the welfare of all the people, especially the weak. (3rd world countries can't afford proprietary software sold by the monopoly company such as MS) This difference leads to the difference in analyses, policies and strategies. Nevertheless, it DOES NOT MEANS that the Open Source REJECTS EVERYTHING that the monopoly has done all this while, because a large number of them have been planned and implemented by monopoly leaders and others who are sincere and concerned about national interests. (Yes, Microsoft have done something good to IT too, but they start showing the ugly face of monopoly) 3. Open Sourceris believes that the failure of the Monopoly to institute reforms after the present crises began will affect adversely our economic ability to achieve a strong and viable recovery. ( You know, the Y2k bugs, virus problem, security issues, etc, they are crisis ) The Monopoly wants to avoid reforms that can achieve a quick and strong economic development because they want to protect the interests of their cronies. Therefore, there is no other way except to replace the Monopoly and bring about necessary reforms to introduce economic policies and environment that are conducive to speedy development into the new millennium. (We don't want some monopoly to control the Internet, e-commerce, etc) 4. The Open Source Strategy presented today clearly shows the big differences between the visions and policies of Open Source and Monopoly. As a result of the policies implemented by Monopoly, the computing industries is entering the new millennium with an economic and administrative system that cannot guarantee development and the welfare of the computer user.. (Yes , open source promotes human races innovative, this generate new life to human economic and administrative.) The choice for the computer user now is very clear - between the bad that is practised by the Monopoly and the good that is fought for by the Open Source. - Disclaimer : http://users.my-linux.org/disclaimer.html
