 My guess is that your using xmms mp3 player? If you are,
 go to the this url 
 http://www.se.xmms.org/bugs/incoming?id=461;expression=opl3;user=guest
 your probably not the only one with the problem. Try and update your
 mp3 player or if it still doesn't work try and use other mp3 players
 or a previous version of xmms . Fyi, I have the same card an opl3-SAx
 it's  
 quite a beautiful card just haven't used the latest xmms.

p.s. I love the opl3 control panel stuff especially the option of what
type of speaker you have. always pick Hi-fi...but that's in windows eh :)
