recompile your new kernel.. then enable ppp
to do this
cd /usr/src/linux
make xconfig
then go to network device support ... then say Yes to
ppp
then save
then type
make dep
make clean
make bzImage
(edit your /etc/lilo.conf)
make bzlilo
make modules
make modules_install
then reboot your computer..
