The Hidden Persuaders who want a wider war

A one sided view of the Syria conflict is being presented nightly in
the UK and the West on all major news channels.
Suddenly the terrorists are not terrorists but freedom fighters and
Al Quaeda are our friends & allies.
Strange to see, Foreign Secretary William Hague is withdrawing
embassy staff and recognising terrorists as the legitimate government.
Lots of us in the UK who follow such things are wondering why the
mainstream media is - like in the case of Iraq's Weapons Of Mass
Destruction - so disconnected from the views of ordinary people who
do not want conflict & international law.
Meanwhle reports continue to filter through that NATO powers and
Israel may be aiding the rebels in Syria and have military force and
expertise on the ground as well as by remote control.
How can it be that British Foreign policy is so out of step with
international law and public opinion?
The answer may lie in St James' Square in Picadlilly, London..At
Chatham House, the Royal Institute of Internatonal Affairs.
This is where British private power and corporate wealth interface
with Foreign policy. This is where the financial insttutions have
their voice in Foreign Affairs and that is a voice even better funded
and louder that that of the Foreign Office itsself.
Through its regular conferences and two magazines, The World Today
for the down-market and International Affairs for the up-market
reader those who follow market trends know which side their bread is
buttered. They follow the opinions and advice of these publications
knowing that if they do so they will be going with the elite
'groupthink', be more socially acceptable in elite society and may
even gain financially by being seen to be 'in the know'.
The Royal Insttute for International Affairs Chatham House rule is
known round the world for its ability to help transmit ideas round
the world to opinion formers at the speed of light with no recipient
knowing what to think but having no idea who put that thought into their head.
The BBC indeed is signed up as a coprorate member of Chatham house
and regularly presents their 'experts' as if they are impartial. They
are not, they network with arms contractors and disaster capitalists,
the very people who stand to gain financially from the sort of
illegal, extreme foreign intervention that could even bring world war
on the road to ever greater profits.
Which may explain why so many now in Britain see Syria's president
Assad is evil. Why we must have regime change in Syria and access to
the country's resources as if they were our own.
Why Al-Quaeda are now not our enemy but our allies. Quite an
achievement by a little house of well-heeled opinion formers in St.
James' Square.

Please consider seriously the reason why these elite institutions are not discussed in the mainstream press despite the immense financial and political power they wield?
