thanks guys for your inputs. i monitored sar but couldn't find anything that
point me to the problem area. however i did capture the lockstat for kernel
profiling when problem occurs. if you see anything that points to the problem.
Again , this is solaris 8 and the applications are mostly exchanging UDP based
messaging at rate of about 1500 mps.
