My tmp fs and memory states before running the experiment are below.  Now if I 
do the following under /tmp/

  dd if=/dev/zero of=largefile.txt bs=128k count=90000

I have a vmstat window open, around the time when memory reaches around 50MB 
the system totally locks up  caps lock takes 7 seconds to respond cursor 
totally stops and the rest of the system is frozen vmstat stops updating. This 
releases itself only after the file is created. Should I file a bug or is this 
a known issue.

CPU:       i7 920
Memory: 12GB RAM 
OS:          SunOS ht 5.11 snv_111b i86pc i386 i86pc Solaris (OSOL 2009.06)
