Vivek, Looked at your problem today. I could not reproduce the problem with the current GIT kernel. But I am running single thread due to lack of OpenMP on my machine.
I ran your program as follows: selfmon_amd_ibs 100 No crashes, no hang. Does the hang only occur when going multi-threaded?
