Hello Stephane,

Sorry i was not specific enough in my first email.

We are using the vanilla kernel 2.6.26.3 . Here what happens when
patching the kernel :

linux-2.6.26.3$ patch -p1 --dry-run <
../perfmon-new-base-080729/perfmon-2.6.26.diff
...
Reversed (or previously applied) patch detected! Assume -R? [n]
Apply anyway? [n] y
Hunk #1 FAILED at 1.
File arch/x86/pci/k8-bus_64.c is not empty after patch, as expected
1 out of 1 hunk FAILED -- saving rejects to file
arch/x86/pci/k8-bus_64.c.rej
...
$

It looks like you are renaming/removing k8-bus_64.c which causes a
conflict every time it is modified in the vanilla kernel.

Regards,

Nathalie
