Hello,

Just a heads-up to let you know that I have now merge the perfmon3 and
HEAD branches
for libpfm. This way everything is available and we do not have to
keep 2 branches up-to-date.

The merged version supports the v2.x, v3.x and Itanium legacy v2.0 perfmon API.

The examples directories have been re-shuffled a bit:
examples: now contains the v3.x examples
examples_v2.x: contains the v2.x (x>0) examples for all arch
    examples_ia64_v20: legacy IA-64 v2.0 examples

The main perfmon header file, include/perfmon/perfmon.h must be
used for all API versions. It contains the v3.x definitions and is pulling
in the v2.x definitions as well. It should work with platforms using specific
versions such as v2.3, v2.2 or v2.4.

Let me know if you find problems.

thanks.
