There is code to support Niagara in both the kernel and user library and tool.
Dave Miller wrote that code a long time ago. I have maintained it ever since.
But I have no SPARC hardware nor expertise, so I do not guarantee it works.
But it does compile.
You need 3 pieces:
- kernel patch
- libpfm library
- pfmon tool
Apply the kernel patch to the corresponding kernel, latest is 2.6.28.
Grab the latest libpfm and pfmon. Build the library and then the tool.
