Yesterday, I have uploaded the first version of the 2.6.30 to the
perfmon2 kernel GIT tree. It is not final. There are some issues
especially on X86 with PEBS. I have disabled PEBS for now.

I would appreciate if people could try it out on their hardware,
especially non x86-64.

Next step, drop the ptrace dependency for per-thread monitoring.
This also removes the restriction that you must be on the monitored
CPU in system-wide mode.

to get this kernel, either do git pull or git clone:

 git clone git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/eranian/linux-2.6.git
