Hello, I was wondering if it's possible to run smpl_amd64_ibs at the same time with the pfmon sessions which are tracking hardware counters on AMD Barcelona.
The problem here is that smpl_amd64_ibs terminates with the error "pfm_load_context error errno 16" whenever there is a pfmon session tracking LLC miss rate on the system. Since IBS events are tracked and controlled via MSR registers which are directly accessible from user space and, to the best of my knowledge, work independently from hardware counter registers, I wonder if this behaviour of pfmon is indeed necessary.
