Hello,everyone!
I installed the libpfm4 on the Intel core i3-550. The OS is FC12. And the
kernel is 2.6.31. However, my platform can not be detected by the example
program which located in the example directory. The example is checkinfo. I
mean that the PMU model can not be detected. I think core i3 should be
core-nehelem architecture, but the detected pmu model is general x86
architecture and core architecture. I want to know if there are any matters
when I using the libpfm4 to sample the nehelam performance events. I mean that
I contiune use the libpfm4 interface to sample the nehalem specified permance
events even if it can not detect the PMU model correctly. Any suggestions?
or I should update the libpfm4.
